We loved this stop. We were hungry after a hike and I had heard of Foodland before. Of course, the poke station was filled with people waiting! No wonder. They have a good selection. Got the California roll poke and a spicy kind. It tasted very fresh and the rice was good. Staff were so nice! Loved it. They have a lot of items too. Very clean.
If you live in upcountry this is one of the few grocery stores. They are pricey for sure but have great prepared food options, poke bar, musubi and bento, pizzas, fried chicken. The cashiers are full of aloha and you feel welcome. They get plenty shopping bag designs too so if you like to collect em all, this is a good spot. Parking is easily available.
I always like browsing through this store in Upcountry Maui. They have the best fresh poke selection. They like to feature locally made products, prominently, and always have a great selection of imported items. They sell local produce, including luau leaf, which can be difficult to find at times. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. You can get a senior discount on Thursdays. Parking is always easy here as well. If you're shopping for gifts during the holiday season, be sure to drop in here and you might just find a special item that nobody else has.
Foodland Is the best Hawaiian Grogeries.
Standard Foodland fare. I stopped here in the middle of a long work day in the field to grab an energy boost and a quick bite. Ended up getting a sugarfree Red Bull and a plain bagel. I was supremely surprised about how good the bagel tasted and was also very happy that the Red Bull was on sale :) Lines were reasonable.
This place has a solid poke bar and usually even has hamachi poke when other spots don't.
So many diff flavors of poke and you can sample it too. My go to is the spicy ahi poke. Just grab kimchi, wakame, and make some rice and its good for any meal of the day. They also have a starbucks at this location.
Nice foodland in Pukalani. The lot is huge so there's plenty of parking. The store is very well organized and stocked so its easy to find items.
This is the first stop when I visited Maui and this was some delicious poke! Didn't know what to order and asked for recommendation and the worker was so sweet and recommended onion crisp & spicy ahi hawaiian and it was such a nice combination! This foodland poke tasted fresh and the fish meat was very soft. It was easy to chew through and the flavor was on point! Definitely recommend!
